Do I have a case?
We generally need to review medical records (which we will obtain for you) in order to answer this question. Sometimes, however, we can tell you if the situation described looks suspicious.
What information do I have to provide to get started?
Provide as much information as you have. Usually, our doctor or nurse takes a history from you - much as any doctor would. We ask you questions and get your best answer. Sometimes, you may have to help us by finding documents you may have.
I don't have any records - What happens then?
We get them for you. If you wish, we will give you copies for your own records, free of charge. You must sign an authorization for us to obtain records - which we will provide.
Does it matter that I've been turned down by other lawyers?
We frequently take cases that have been turned down by other lawyers.
How long will my case take?
In California, most cases take between 1 and 2 years.
I live in Oklahoma-can you come to me?
We have relationships with experienced lawyers throughout the United States. Usually, if you cannot come to us, we (or our affiliates) can either come to you, or deal with youover the phone and by mail.
Do I have to pay if we lose?
No.
Will I lose my benefits?
There are means to preserve your benefits, which we frequently utilize. Generally, if you want to preserve your benefits, you are able to do so.
Will I lose my home?
No.
Does my immigration status matter?
No.
Will the hospital stop treating me if we sue?
